With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Steve Elsworth has done it all. Educated at Wits & Cape Audio College (South Africa’s leading sound and technology campus.) Steve graduated with honours in sound engineering and went on to achieve his advanced music production and programming honours as well.
This established him with a solid foundation from which to pursue his career. With a successful freelance career in place, he started working with a number of up and coming bands and artists in and around the country as well as successful ventures into the advertising and voice over fields.
It was however, his love of engineering and music production that saw him returning to his Alma Marta, to establish a full certificate programme that taught all the aspects of Electronic Music Programming. His role also expanded, as he became one of the lead lecturers and trainers in the colleges Audio Engineering and production courses.
After spending four years at Cape Audio College, Steve joined the Red Bull Studio team in 2010. Since then Steve has worked with countless artists and bands and has helped develop young talent, nurturing their sound and delivery. His unique sound and mix style can be heard on numerous big name artists work, like Khuli Chana, Tumi Molekane, Reason, Machineri and Kabelo to name a few.
Steve went on to achieve 2 SAMA awards in 2013 for his work with Khuli Chana on his album Lost in Time.
